A Taste of the Harvest- Ingredients:
• Elderberries are rich in nutrients and antioxidants. Elderberry has been found to have antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties. A clinical trial supports the use of a standardized elderberry syrup extract for symptoms associated with influenza. * (1)
•Apples are rich in fiber and polyphenols, plant compounds that may help lower your chance of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers. * (2)
• Calendula is packed with beneficial plant compounds that may provide antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and wound healing effects.* (2)
• Cinnamon is high in antioxidants such as polyphenols that protect your body against oxidative damage caused by free radicals. Studies show that this spice and its antioxidants have anti-inflammatory properties. Cinnamon is also known for its ability to improve sensitivity to insulin and for its blood sugar-lowering properties. Cinnamon also helps fight bacterial and fungal infections. * (2)
• Rooibos (Honeybush Red Tea) comes from the leaves of an African shrub and is not related to black or green tea. Rooibos is lower in tannins, natural compounds that are present in green and black tea, which interfere with the absorption of some nutrients, like iron. Unlike black and green tea, it contains no oxalic acid, which can increase your risk of kidney stones. Red tea is also rich in antioxidants, helping to protect cells against free radical damage. Over the long term, the antioxidants in red tea may help reduce the risk of illness, heart disease, and cancer. * (2)
Seasonal Release: Harvest Apple & Elderberry is made especially for the fall season and is available for a limited time.
