I’d give you a cookie, but I ate it…

NEW Recipe!

Elderberry Thumbprint Cookies

The holidays are just around the corner and there’s nothing we like better than finding new ways to use our elderberry products in new cooking projects.

Today we’re playing around in the farm kitchen with Elderberry Jam and Elderberry Orange Jam.

Our Elderberry Jam is homemade one batch at a time using a mixture of elderberry juice, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and lemon. And like our famous Elderberry Syrup, it “tastes like Christmas.”

We use only good clean water from our deep mountain well to process the juice, and we never use high fructose corn syrup, a common ingredient in most commercial jam.

If you like unique flavors, our Elderberry Orange Jam is a combination of elderberry juice, sugar, pectin, orange juice concentrate, orange peel, orange oil, and lemon juice and it tastes wonderful!

Today we’re trying it in an Elderberry Thumbprint Cookie Recipe. Thumbprint cookies are a lot like sugar cookies, but less sweet. They’re crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside. But the best part is the little thumbprint in the middle filled with Elderberry Orange Jam.

It’s a bit like eating a tiny little jam tart. You’ve got to try these!

You’ll need some Elderberry Jam or Elderberry Orange Jam for this recipe.
